| Mourning the death of Cherise, the queen-bee/drag queen momma, our main characters go on a hysterical journey of pride, purpose and love. After a 5 year absence, Billy returns to the world of boas and pumps, which infuriates his macho boyfriend Ramon. Philip, a straight female impersonator, falls in love with Jan, Ramon’s sister, and the two of them, via screaming and screwing, must learn to love outside the lines. And George embraces a mission to honor his fallen friend by saving as many fabulous freaks as he can. All of these stories are intertwined and told by our greek-chorus of Drag Queens, who provide heart, soul, song and camp as a background to this comedy with a size 15 heels, I mean heart. The music of Abby Travis, cabaret diva extraordinaire, ties the pain, triumphs, and joy all together with show stopping fabulousity. Her comi-tragic lyrics and jazzy/rock music lends perfectly to our over-the-top drag numbers (drama) and glittering spectacle camp (comedy). Little Black Veil is about waving your freak flag.
